The Closet (2020)

Der Closet ist der erste Horrorfilm, der 2020 in Korea ausgestrahlt wird. Der Film, der die Bemühungen eines Vaters auf der Suche nach seinem vermissten Sohn im Schrank erzählt, spielte auch Kim Shi-A. Zuvor hatten Jung-woo und Shi-A gemeinsam in dem Film Ashfall mitgewirkt.

Das Problem in The Closet begann, als Sang-Won (Ha Jung-woo) nach dem Tod der Frau versuchte, die Beziehungen zu seinem Sohn Ina (Kim Shi-A) zu verbessern. Eines Tages zogen sie in ein neues Zuhause.

Doch das Werk entfremdete Sang-won von seiner schieren Tochter. Ina begann langsam unnatürliches Verhalten zu zeigen. Nicht nur das, sie hören auch oft seltsame Stimmen aus dem Schrank im neuen Haus. Plötzlich verschwand Ina spurlos.

Inmitten der Sorge, sein einziges Kind zu verlieren, traf Sang-won Kyung-hoon (Kim Nam-Gil), einen mysteriösen Mann, der sagte, dass der Schrank im Kinderzimmer eine der Ursachen für Ina wurde, um zu verschwinden. Sang-Won und Kyung-Hoon arbeiteten schließlich zusammen, um Ina zu finden.

Vor seiner Hauptrolle in The Closet war Ha Jung-Woo zuvor für Filme wie The Chaser (2008), The Yellow Sea (2011) und The Berlin File (2013) bekannt.

Der Geburtsdarsteller des 11. März 1979 spielte auch The Handmaiden (2016), Tunnel (2016), Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds (2017), Along With the Gods: The Last 49 Days (2018), Ashfall (2019) und The Closet (2020).
